Having lost the toss, the Bulls made 97-3 from their 14 (8 ball) overs with Bobby Green carrying his bat for 38*. James ‘Dipper’ Brown showed that class is permanent and can survive a 5 year playing hiatus batting at No.3 before Mikey Craigs gave some impetus to the end of the innings hitting a 6 and 2 4s in a lusty 21*.
In the field the younger bowlers – Jenny McDowell (1-10), Guy Johnson (1-6) and Will Varley (2-6) – all performed admirably after Mikey Craigs took two early wickets. Their contributions were ably supported by veterans Dave Cragg and Alan Fletcher. On a chilly evening the ground fielding remained enthusiastic and Bobby Green backed up his earlier efforts with a very tidy display behind the stumps.
