At 18:43 on Sat 1st May 2021, Chris Hewison took a well-judged catch on the deep mid-wicket boundary to dismiss Eppleton captain Dean Musther, who was going well. This catch gave Lee his 2nd wicket of the game, 9th of the season & took him to 630 SNCC league wickets, the most for SNCC in the modern era since 1934, surpassing John Bradford (629 wickets at 16.60 in 20 seasons, 1962-1982) by 1.
John Graham paid tribute to Lee after the game recalling his unerring ability to both attack & defend, his dependability, the go to bowler of the successful 1st X1 in the recent past & on behalf of the club, presented him with a bottle of champagne.
